Compensation check

How does the compensation check work?

The FindPassengers compensation check helps you assess whether you may be entitled to financial compensation for a delayed, cancelled or rebooked flight.

The check combines available flight data with your answers and assesses them against the relevant European passenger rights.

What data does the check use?

FindPassengers uses available information from external flight data providers, such as scheduled and recorded flight times. You may also be asked for additional information about your original booking, connections, cancellations, rebookings and the journey you actually took.

How is compensation calculated?

Based on the available data, the check assesses whether you may be eligible for compensation and the corresponding amount.

In the event of rebooking, the check can also examine whether a new disruption during the replacement journey may give rise to separate compensation.

How reliable is the result?

The check is designed to provide as accurate an indication as possible, but cannot independently establish every circumstance.

Flight data may be missing or differ from what actually happened. Legal circumstances, such as the cause of a delay, may also determine your ultimate entitlement to compensation.

The result is therefore not a definitive legal assessment. Always check that the information entered is correct.

What happens after the check?

The result helps you assess a possible claim. Running the check does not automatically submit a claim to an airline.
