Why FindPassengers?

Why FindPassengers?

Find fellow passengers. Check your possible compensation. Compare claim companies.

A flight delay or cancellation can affect hundreds of people at once. Yet passengers often have to find information, deal with the airline and work out their next steps on their own. FindPassengers brings together three useful options in one place: connecting with people from the same flight, checking possible EU flight compensation and comparing companies that can help with a claim.

You can use whichever option suits your situation. You do not have to join a passenger group to use the compensation check or the claim-company comparison.

Three ways FindPassengers can help

1. Find passengers from your flight

Search by flight number and date to find the passenger group for your exact flight. Connect with people who have joined that group, exchange experiences and compare the information you have received. This can be helpful during a disruption or long after the journey.

2. Check possible EU compensation

Was your flight delayed, cancelled or affected by a missed connection? Our free EU compensation check helps you explore whether compensation may be possible under European passenger-rights rules. Where relevant, you can include connecting or replacement flights. The outcome is indicative, not a legal decision or a guarantee of payment.

3. Compare claim companies

Would you prefer professional help with your claim? Compare claim companies, their published commissions, possible legal fees and the amount you may keep after costs. Choose a country, adjust the compensation amount and number of passengers, and review the conditions before deciding. You can also choose to contact the airline yourself.

Can I find other passengers from the same flight?

Yes. This is where FindPassengers began. Enter your flight number and travel date to find the corresponding flight group. If other passengers have joined, you can connect with them and share what you know.

You might be waiting at the airport, have just arrived home or be looking back on a flight from months ago. Travellers who experienced the same flight may have information that is useful to one another. Not every passenger will be on FindPassengers, and a flight group does not automatically mean other travellers have joined it.

My flight is delayed or cancelled. Can we exchange information?

During a disruption, different passengers may receive different messages. One person has spoken to airline staff, another has received an email, while someone else has heard about a replacement aircraft or a new departure time.

Within a flight group, participating passengers can exchange what they have been told, discuss their experiences and help one another understand what is happening. This can also be useful when a cancellation leads to rebooking, a missed connection or uncertainty about the next flight.

Community information is not official flight information. For safety instructions, departure arrangements and important travel decisions, always follow the airline, airport and relevant authorities.

What about meals, hotels and transport?

A long delay or cancellation may raise questions about food vouchers, hotel accommodation, transfers or alternative flights. Some travellers may already have received instructions while others are still waiting.

Fellow passengers can share where vouchers are being distributed, what arrangements they have been offered and whether they have received information about rebooking. FindPassengers helps bring those experiences together; it does not decide which assistance or reimbursement you are legally entitled to receive.

Can we share information and evidence?

Passengers may have screenshots of flight updates, photographs of departure boards, messages from the airline or notes about announcements at the airport. Comparing this information can help clarify the timeline of a disruption, including after the journey.

Share only material you are entitled to share. Avoid publishing other travellers’ private details without their permission. User contributions are not independently verified by FindPassengers.

Did other passengers receive compensation?

Suppose your flight was cancelled or seriously delayed, and your compensation claim was rejected. Did passengers on that same flight receive the same answer? Did someone else receive compensation, or are they still waiting?

In a flight group, participating passengers can report whether a claim has not yet been submitted, is pending, was rejected or resulted in compensation. You can compare those reported outcomes and discuss differences in the explanations received.

These statuses are provided by users. They are not verified court decisions, and another passenger’s result does not establish your own entitlement. Still, the experiences of people on the exact same flight can provide useful context when you decide what to do next.

My claim was rejected. What can I do next?

Comparing responses from fellow passengers may help you identify questions worth asking the airline. You might want to request clarification, check the rules that apply to your journey or seek professional advice.

You can also use our claim-company comparison to explore the cost of getting help. FindPassengers does not decide whether an airline’s rejection is lawful and does not guarantee that a claim will succeed.

How does the EU compensation check work?

The free check uses available flight information and your answers to assess whether compensation might be possible under the applicable European rules. Depending on your journey, information about connections, cancellations or replacement flights may be relevant.

A result may show an amount per passenger, a possible range or an explanation of uncertainty. Some flight details may come from your own answers rather than independently confirmed provider data. The check is therefore an indication only: the final outcome depends on the facts of the case and the applicable rules.

When an amount is shown, you can continue to the claim-company comparison using that specific result, without treating it as a guaranteed payment.

How can I compare claim companies?

The comparison lets you review different companies according to the selected country and their stated areas of service. Where sufficient information is available, FindPassengers calculates the published standard commission, relevant fixed fees, possible costs if legal action is needed and an estimated net amount for one or more passengers.

Some fees apply only in particular countries or circumstances. We distinguish between confirmed, indicative and insufficiently verified tariffs, and we link to official sources when available. Always check the company’s current terms before signing an agreement. A lower fee does not in itself mean a claim is more likely to succeed.

Can I claim directly from the airline?

Yes. You do not have to use a claim company. You can contact the airline directly and, if your claim succeeds, avoid paying a claim-company commission. You will need to handle correspondence and any follow-up yourself; other expenses, including legal costs, may still arise.

FindPassengers provides information and comparison tools, not a service that submits or manages a claim on your behalf.

What about missed connections, diversions, baggage and serious incidents?

Passengers who miss a connection, are rerouted or land at an unexpected airport often face similar questions about onward travel and the arrangements made by the airline. A passenger group can help them compare practical information and experiences.

Travellers may also discuss delayed, missing or damaged baggage, or reconnect after an unusual flight incident. Sharing experiences does not mean these situations are all covered by the EU compensation check; different rules can apply.

FindPassengers is not an emergency or crisis-response service. In an emergency, follow official instructions and contact the appropriate authorities.

Useful during the journey — and afterwards

A flight group can remain available long after the aircraft has landed. That means participating passengers may return weeks, months or potentially years later to share new information and compare reported claim outcomes.

FindPassengers was launched in September 2026. Flights already added to the platform can remain available, but searching for a flight that has not previously been added is currently limited to roughly one year of historical flight data. Older flights may therefore not be available to add. That search range may change in the future.

Why does FindPassengers exist?

Hundreds of people can experience the same flight disruption, yet their contact often ends when they leave the airport. We believe passengers should have a way to find one another, understand what fellow travellers experienced and explore their options without having to piece everything together alone.

One flight. Shared experiences. Clearer options.
